I decided to read and remix chapter 3 from the Bedford Book of Genres because I think learning the difference between accountable and non reputable sources is crucial. This difference is essential in today`s world because of the rise of technology use and different social media platforms. It is extremely easy to get caught up in rumors and heat from the media; thats why its important to pickup on bias. Bias is everywhere, even in places you would least expect it. The book gave an interesting example on a snowboarding accident. You would think that a newscast would be strictly facts, but it mentions how the reporter could have mentioned how unprepared the family was or talk about how they did everything they could to save themselves; these two different approaches show how bias affects the tone of the newscast and how it could just as easily affect any work.
